Framing & Matting

• A properly chosen frame can significantly enhance the appearance of an art piece. A frame can affect the mood and highlight key textures and colors within the art. They can influence the perception of a picture and change the way viewers interpret the image. In the case of a portrait, it can help amplify personality traits that are key to the person or animal being drawn. 

• In addition to providing you with a custom portrait, I offer a variety of framing options. Since each picture is truly a unique work of art, once it is completed, we can work together to find something to suit your taste and your home decor. Together we can design the perfect combination of mount/mat and molding that will work well with your portrait and home decor.

• Each framed piece includes the matting and molding we come up with, glass (or plexiglass), foam backing, black protective cover, and hanging hardware. Prices start at $100 for a 9"x 12" picture with a simple wood molding, double mat, glass, and fitting.
